The Return
The Return was inspired by the story of Weget's wife, This is the moment in the story when she had enough of his disrespect
to her salmon that she called them back to the river with her.

Christmas is a comin'
Christmas holidays are here already! I have been busy with the jewelry, and getting some carving in as well. The prints are
being well received and I am bursting with ideas. Time has flown and I'm happy to say that orders are keeping me busy. I try
to take photos of the pieces before I let them go so I can post them on here. I am most happy doing the creating part of the
art, working on that special something for that special someone. Then an idea pops up that cannot wait to come out so I interrupt
the production to create. I love it. With hockey taking up the rest of my life, I have three boys in hockey, I'm usually
a little sleep deprived, but I'm happy. Painting with watercolors is starting to hold prominence in my plethora of projects
(alliteration, anyone?). I am currently working on a piece for the art show for the Skeena Watershed Preservation Coalition.
I can't wait to see how it turns out. Back to hockey, I swear my house could vie for hockeyville standings, it's all
we seem to be doing, and the excitement of the tournaments, getting up so very early in the mornings to hit the road on the
weekends, and best of all, the excitement on my boys' faces as they hit the ice, go hockey! I swear I know what offside is
now! ah well, back to it. Merry Christmas, Everyone. Arlene
