Sun is shining, pussy willows are out, and fresh wood is ready to carve!

The snow is melting away, my yard is almost uncovered! Working out in the yard with Rejean out in the sun is great! We have fresh new carving wood, silver birch. I love carving in silver birch, it takes detail so well and carves so smoothly. I am so glad we got this tree before the sap started running. Now I can get my other carving ideas out for the show in Seattle (November). Jewelry is a nice break from this, when I get tired of carving wood I create jewelry, or paint. I will have a good variety of pieces for the upcoming show. I can't wait!

Enjoy the beautiful weather; I just had a branch of pussy willows given to me by the cutest little girl, which put a perfect touch to a great day.
